Inspired by nature. Motivated by tradition.

Our Founders

dumæ was founded by Kym Gold, whose influential career in the apparel world, including co-founding True Religion, shaped a deep instinct for form, texture, and considered design. The name reflects her personal story. Point Dume, the coastal stretch in Malibu where she grew up, is fused with Mae, an homage to motherhood and the women who shape her life and work.

Joining Kym as partner and Chief Operating Officer, Sakshi Khurana brings over two decades of experience building and scaling product-driven brands across fashion, lifestyle, and home. A creative operator at heart, Sakshi has spent her career translating vision into execution, helping purpose-driven brands grow through strategy, storytelling, and a product-first mindset.

Together, Kym and Sakshi share a natural alignment shaped by years in the apparel world, where material integrity, sculptural form, and an uncompromising attention to detail defined their work. At dumæ, Kym leads creative direction while Sakshi stewards the business, guiding operations, strategy, and growth with a shared long-term lens. Their partnership is grounded in trust, complementary strengths, and a shared vision for creating timeless pieces meant to be lived with, collected, and passed down.

About dumæ

dumæ creates sculptural homeware rooted in duality. The balance of form and function, raw texture and refined design. We craft pieces across ceramics, brass, resin, textiles, and candles, each shaped with intention. Designed in California and created alongside generations of artisans in India, our forms carry the spirit of lasting craftsmanship, made to be lived with, cared for, and passed down.

CREATED WITH INTENTION

Every piece is thoughtfully designed in Los Angeles.

We prioritize sustainability at every step of the production process, including re-using clay and aiming to remove all virgin plastic from our supply chain by 2025.

A celebration of community and a passion

for design lie at the heart of what we do.
