A luxury home goods brand for modern living.

About dumæ

At dumæ, we’re on a mission to elevate traditional craftsmanship and bring beauty to the spaces we share. Our one-of-a-kind, versatile pieces are designed and made in LA by skilled ceramic artists. We pride ourselves in creating jobs and keeping the tradition of ceramic art in America alive.

Our Founder

Kym Gold is a visionary entrepreneur and established trailblazer in the world of design. Renowned as the co-founder of True Religion which defined modern fashion, Kym’s determination, innovative mindset and belief that one must embrace the beauty of life's richness have laid the foundation for her success.

With an entrepreneurial journey that began at age 18 on the Venice Beach Boardwalk by reselling irregular clothing goods, Kym’s experiences paved the way for her to launch several other fashion apparel companies including Kymberly Suits You, Bella Dahl and Hippie. Later, she notoriously co-founded True Religion, which ultimately earned her recognition as one of the most successful female entrepreneurs in recent history.

In 2008, Kym founded Babakul, Inc., later selling it to focus on motherhood and pursue other creative instincts across filmmaking and interior design. Upon discovering her love of pottery making through a class that was gifted to Kym by her son, she quickly learned her sense of aesthetic wasn’t limited to fashion, translating decades of business building, colorway collections and technical shaping into dumæ, formerly Style Union Home, in 2020.

Today, Kym finds joy in pilates, gardening, good friends, Sunday family dinners and is continuing to build dumæ into her next powerhouse, which she hopes will become her legacy.

Our Values

All of our pieces are designed with living in mind in DTLA.

We prioritize sustainability at every step of the production process, including re-using clay and sourcing all raw materials domestically.

We aim to remove all virgin plastic from our supply chain by 2025.

A celebration of family and community and a passion for quality design and craft are at the core of everything we do.
